1. Overview
VnicePlayer is an independently developed video app. This page explains what information the app handles when you use its playback, search, library, import, caching, and in-app browsing features.
2. Information handled by the app
Depending on the features you use, VnicePlayer may handle the following information:
- Local app data: search terms, playback history, video details, favorites, collections, folders, playback progress, and app preferences saved on your device.
- Imported and cached media: videos, thumbnails, local file references, URLs, and related details for files you choose to import or cache.
- Media requests: when you play or cache online media, the selected media source may receive your IP address, request information, and other information normally sent by your device or network.
- In-app browsing: websites opened in the app may process cookies, IP address, device information, and browsing activity under their own privacy practices.
- Device permissions: the app may request access to photos or media storage when you choose to import or export media. This access is used for that feature.
VnicePlayer does not require an account and does not intentionally ask for your name, contacts, precise location, microphone recordings, or camera images.
3. How information is used
- to provide playback, search, favorites, collections, history, import, export, and offline caching features;
- to remember your preferences and restore your local library;
- to play or cache content that you select; and
- to keep the app working and respond to support questions sent through the App Store listing.
Local search history, playback history, favorites, collections, and imported media are not used to build advertising profiles. VnicePlayer does not sell this local app data.
4. Sharing and third-party services
VnicePlayer does not upload your local library to a VnicePlayer account service. Information may still be processed by services you choose to use:
- Media sources: online requests go to the website or media host selected by you.
- Websites: websites opened in the in-app browser control their own data practices.
- Platform services: Apple and other technical services may process limited technical information needed to deliver the app, updates, or media features.
5. Storage, retention, and deletion
Local app data remains on your device until you remove it, clear it in the app, uninstall VnicePlayer, or the device removes the app's storage. Available app controls can be used to clear search history, playback history, favorites, collections, and imported media.
Deleting local data in VnicePlayer does not delete copies or records held by an external media source or website.
6. Children
VnicePlayer does not require an account and is not designed to collect personal information from children. Please avoid entering personal information into websites opened through the in-app browser.
7. Updates
This page may be updated when the app or its information practices change. The “Last updated” date above shows the current version.
